The SNB provides technical assistance provided that
(i) it has considerable knowledge on the subject in question and can afford to relieve its experts from their normal duties,
(ii) the assistance cannot be easily obtained elsewhere, and
(iii) the prospects of success are good.
Central banks from countries belonging to Switzerland’s constituency in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are given priority. Assistance is provided mainly in the form of project consulting (approx. 80%) and seminars (approx. 20%).
